100 Network Churches and Growing

Recently, we celebrated a significant milestone as we welcomed the 100th church into our Network partnerships!

We’re thrilled to partner with churches around the globe as we work together to spread the love of Jesus. If you want to learn more about how these partnerships work, check out Network.LifeChurch.tv.

One By One

John Maxwell did a talk years ago about finding eagles. (He described an eagle as a leader who soared above the others.) Maxwell said, “Turkeys and chickens flock together, but eagles soar alone.”

Some put ads in a bulletin asking for potential leaders to contact the church office. It’s not uncommon to ask for leaders to sign up in the lobby during the church announcements.

In my experience, it’s rare to find a great leader by asking the masses and hoping one will sign up or show up.

In every case I can think of, I’ve discovered great potential in others during one-on-one conversations.

Rather than hoping to find an eagle in a crowd, we will likely have better success spotting them after a personal conversation.

Please Pray

I’d like to ask you to pray specifically for three of the Network churches of LifeChurch.tv.

Network began several years ago when a few churches regularly started using the video messages available for free at LifeChurch.tv OPEN. Each week, they used Craig’s talks on video to fill the role of teaching pastor. Since that time, the LifeChurch.tv family of Network churches has grown to include about 75 churches, and new ones are added each week.

Here are three Network churches you can pray for this weekend:

  1. Brandon Duff, pastor of Church at the Falls in Canada, has been in and out of the hospital this week with intestinal issues.
  2. Life Church of Muskogee, OK has their official launch this weekend.  Pray for Eric Allen and his team as their steps of faith now become reality.
  3. Ian Altman and Café Church in Lithgow, Australia are celebrating a record attendance at their last baptism experience.  Pray they continue to see more and more growth.

What can the Swerve family pray with you about this weekend?

It Takes All Kinds of Churches

When I was a kid, my church friends were critical of other churches. The “other” churches were too weird, too charismatic, too legalistic, too boring, or too stuffy.

Sadly today, many Christians are convinced their style of church is the only and best way.

It takes all kinds of Christian churches to reach all kinds of people.

Surely God can work through Bible Churches, Charismatic Churches, Traditional Churches, and Seeker Churches. He can use Baptist Christians, Methodist Christians, Episcopal Christians, and Spirit-filled tongue talking Holy Ghost rollin’ Christians.

No matter how much you enjoy your expression of worship, your church won’t reach the world alone.

It is exciting that instead of criticizing the differences, many are embracing the similarities and truly making a difference for Christ.

Partnering with Churches: Network

Thanks for all your feedback on OPEN yesterday. Today, I’d like to re-introduce you to the LifeChurch.tv Network Churches, and tell you a little bit about Network.

network.jpgLifeChurch.tv Network is a global network of churches that are strategically partnered with LifeChurch.tv to reach more people to become fully devoted followers of Christ. LifeChurch.tv Network churches consistently utilize our video teaching messages in one or more of their weekly services or experiences. Promotional resources are also made available in advance of the targeted messages/series. All of the resources are free.

So, how does LifeChurch.tv Network work? The local church continues to remain independent (leadership, governance, finances, decision-making, etc.), and simply utilizes LifeChurch.tv teaching messages into one or more weekly services through DVD download. Additionally, Network churches have the flexibility to choose from over 200 past messages through LifeChurch.tv Open, or they can be aligned with us through a special login to access the resources associated with our current series. We also have invited the churches that are a part of Network to participate in some of our staff training events.

Below is a list of the LifeChurch.tv Network Churches and links to some of their websites. Many of them are growing rapidly and it’s exciting to see how God is working through such a diverse group of churches that are united in purpose.
