Catalyst One Day: Chicago

A week from today, Craig will be joining Andy Stanley in Chicago for a Catalyst One Day conference at Willow Creek Community Church. This is an ideal opportunity to have a focused day of leadership learning with your team, as well as interact with some of the great church leaders already planning on attending. It’s happening on Thursday, March 25 and there’s still time to register online.

Catalyst One Day in Chicago

Craig and Andy Stanley are continuing their Catalyst One Day tour this year with a stop in the Chicago area at Willow Creek Community Church. On Thursday, March 25, 2010, they’ll be sharing some thoughts about church, leadership, momentum, and more.

We’re able to pass along a discount to Swerve readers who register for the event by Thursday, January 28. Just use the word “BLOG” as the rate code on the registration page, and you’ll get a special rate of $99.

It should be a great time of connecting and learning. Hope to see you there!

You’re Invited: Haiti Conference Call

This Wednesday, church leaders are invited to join a conference call to discuss how we can best work together to help the people of Haiti. I’ll be joining Andy Stanley and Wess Stafford in leading the call as we cover the following topics:

  • The latest information about the current situation in Haiti
  • Why the church in Haiti is the hope of Haiti
  • Learning how to help the church in Haiti
  • What your church can do to help
  • Leading your congregation through this crisis

If you’re a church leader, and you’re interested in joining our 35-minute discussion, you can call 800-698-9012 at 2:00pm Mountain Time, this Wednesday, January 20.

I look forward to seeing what God will accomplish through His Church for the people of Haiti.

Great Conferences

There are quite a few conferences over the next few months that will be a great opportunity for the Church to get together, learn, and take new ideas back to our communities:

  • The National Leadership Forum: a free webcast on September 10-11 featuring Jack Welch, TD Jakes, Patrick Lencioni, Erwin McManus, Craig Groeschel, and more.
  • The Nines: a free online event on 9-9-09 at 9:09am CDT featuring nine-minute leadership lessons from a very long list of gifted speakers.
  • Spur Leadership Conference: at Lake Hills Church in Austin, Texas on October 1-2 featuring Senior Pastor Mac Richard, Governor Rick Perry, Kem Meyer, Steven Furtick, and more.
  • Catalyst: in Atlanta on October 7-9 featuring Andy Stanley, Louie Giglio, Malcolm Gladwell, Rob Bell, and more.
  • Hillsong Conference Europe 09: in London on October 7-10 featuring Joseph Prince, Flip Flippen, Nicky Gumbel, Craig Groeschel, and more.
  • Catalyst One Day: in Baltimore, Maryland on November 16 featuring Andy Stanley and Craig Groeschel.

Members of our team will be participating in many of these events and we look forward to connecting while we’re there!

What upcoming conferences are you excited about?

National Leadership Forum Comes to You

A free two-day leadership event is coming your way, and you don’t even have to leave your computer to take part. Check out who you’ll hear from during the National Leadership Forum webcast:

  • Jack Welch
  • TD Jakes
  • Mark Rutland
  • Patrick Lencioni
  • Dave Ramsey
  • Craig Groeschel
  • Megyn Kelly
  • Erwin McManus
  • Bill George
  • Tim Sanders
  • Matthew Barnett
  • Henry Cloud

This is a fantastic opportunity to invest in leadership training and development for your team—whether staff or volunteers—without investing in conference fees or travel. Ken Blanchard will be moderating the webcast, which takes place on September 10-11. The event will be offered twice each day to accommodate different time zones: first at 7:00am-2:00pm GMT and then at 10:00am-5:00pm EDT. Capacity for the National Leadership Forum is limited, so you’ll want to register soon.

We’re thrilled to partner with Southeastern University and 316 Networks to offer a leadership event of this caliber for free. Hope you can take advantage of it!

Meetup: Paris

I just returned from Australia last week and really enjoyed meeting with several pastors and leaders in Melbourne. I’ll be in the US for a short while and then a few members of my team will be joining me as we travel to France to connect with church leaders there. We’re planning a meetup near Paris and would love to have you join us if you’re in the area. Here are the details:

Friday 12 June
6:00PM Buffet
7:00PM Meeting Start

Impact Christian Center Church
Parc d’activités la Haie Griselle
20 rue des Sablons
94470 Boissy-Saint-Léger

This is a free event, so feel free to bring your entire team and invite other ministry leaders. Please let us know if you will be attending. You may also phone Chris Byers with any questions: +44 75 9056 0381.

We’re looking forward to a great evening of mutual learning. Our hope is to better understand the needs of the Church in Europe and how we might best equip and serve church leaders there.
