There are so many ways in which we can all offer our sacrifices to God. In my opinion, sacrificial giving is something that has to be engrained in the culture of a church. How do you get a church to go from being selfish to selfless?

My ministry on a college campus can really give sacrificially the most by not sacrificing money, but moreso our time and energy. However, I'm still trying to find a great way to do that with college students on campus...

What we are going to be doing is spending time this semester doing micro-missions (probably w/ Life & Journey!)

Any other suggestions for sacrificing for the students around us?

One of the great joys in planting a church is that you can formulate this in to the system from day one. People know what kind of church you are from the beginning, plus it sets a course for you that will lead to future blessing. Doing something as radical as this post describes is difficult (if not impossible) in an already established traditional church. We started supporting a missionary three months before we launched and God has blessed us.

We do well in some areas as a church and not so well in others. There is work to do when it comes to generousity as a whole. Some of it is a teaching thing that I will be doing.

Thanks for the reminder.

What a great post. Thanks so much. We need to have a conversation on this sort of giving. We haven't arrived yet. Thanks so much for the challenge!
Blessings,
Dave
