We have a main church and a lakes campus about 20 miles away. Our main campus has a kitchen that feeds anyone 5 days a week dinner. used to be average of 80-90 a day and now its to 120 a day. we also have a clothes closet that people drop off there old clothes and we wash and iron and have a building that any one can come in aget for free. Our lakes campus is doing a toy drive and will hand out to kids who have none.G

In 2009, I felt God leading me to challenge our church to "give outside the box." On that particular Sunday, we didn't take an offering. (No, the roof did not collapse!) Instead, I challenged them to prayerfully consider the needs of others and to anonymously give directly to another individual or family need. It was a step of faith for the church, as giving had been down anyway for the year. It was a step of faith for the congregation, who would be trusting God - not the tax deduction.

The response was great - both from those who accepted the challenge and those who received a surprise gift. BOTH groups were blessed.

What's more, our church received about 15% more in offerings than was budgeted for the year. God truly takes care of those with a giving heart. We can't wait to do it again!

I live in a small southern town and this past summer the Holiness Church (refered to as the Black Church in town) was struck by lightening and burned down. Our church was immediately thinking about what we could do to help. We decided that we would not do something right away but plan out how we could give them the most amount of money. We did a fundraiser that we planned over several months and it was a huge success. It created opportunties that involved both churches coming together for services which has never happened before. The church I Pastor does so much for the community here through their strategic giving that it is overwhelming.

Every year, our church invited the local Teen Challenge Choir to come to our church to sing and give testimonies. We built it in to our yearly budget to take everyone in the group to an all-you-can-eat restaurant. It was amazing to me how many of the guys thanked me for doing this. One said, with tears in his eyes, "Pastor Todd, I have never eaten this well in my whole life." Incredible, how something so small and that we take for granted means to someone who was raised with nothing. From that day forward, we decided we would make it a yearly event. It IS more blessed to give than receive.

Bill, That is huge. I know God will honor and bless your ministry as you honor and bless others.

Patrick, We love partnering with your church! Congrats on the tremendous impact you are having. It is still amazing to me how many lives you are touching in such a short period of time.

We found ourselves becoming a support church for new LC.tv Network churches. I get a couple calls a month from church planters inquiring about the Network. Some of them we've been able to help with forms, ideas, signs, layout, etc... recently we gave one of our projectors to a new network church Georgia.
We are so grateful for what the Network has done and offered to our church (for free) that our church loves to help and support other churches going the same road.

Over the past couple of years we have helped the local YFC/Campus LIfe outreach by letting them use our building on Wednesday night. We rent the building on Sunday & Wednesday and several years ago they were without a home for their weekly meetings. I suggested that we allow them to use it & charge no rent. We save them on average about $4-500/month. We also have a yearly effort to provide socks, shoes, gloves, hats & underwear to local children. During the summer we take donations for school supplies (we live in a very poor county) for students who can't afford them. They either respond with clothes or supplies or money for the person in charge to buy what is needed. I can honestly say that it is during those times that I am the proudest of being the pastor.
