Heart issues are always the toughest. Really figuring out motives for ministry. Is it the outflow of a heart for God or recognition, position or other? Thanks for holding us accountable. I forwarded this out to a handful of pastor friends.again thanks.

Thinking, a question I ask myself....keeping in mind that my leadership is more one on one than anything else. But, I do ask myself sometimes; "Why is it that I continue to revisit certain lessons? Could it be that I am missing something? or is it the individual who I'm showing has not 'seen it' yet?

I think this is a great list of questions that seek the heart of the leader not the personality of the leader. Too often as a leader we are wrapped up in the questions that drive our organizations and not int he questions that should drive our heart and passion.

Thanks for sharing these with us.

#1 I need to ask myself this question more often, thanks Craig
What else would you ask?
In what ways spiritually am I being stretched passed my comfort level?

You know like the first time you jumped off the high dive…That question you had in your mind… Can I really do this?

C,

These are all great questions. I think the one that resonates with me the most is probably a combination of #7 & #10. I say that not because I want people to tell me or to pat me on the back. But because I feel so strongly about "leaving a legacy" behind. I wrote in my blog over the weekend about Leadership's #1 Quality- Integrity. I want more than anything than to be "seen and known" as a man/pastor of integrity. Whether now as I live or when I am gone, I want that to be my legacy...to my wife, my children, my friends (unsaved and Christ-followers) and the church(es) I pastor.

I look forward to the rest of the week's questions.

I have a yellow post-it permanently on my monitor to remind me about #5. It's an Erwin McManus quote:

"Are you rowing or sailing?"

I think 2 is a challenge for me too.
