Big Announcement: One Prayer

open-prayer-swerve.jpg

Craig has a burning vision to unite churches together. Today I’m very excited because it’s turned into an amazing concept that I believe will impact the Church in a big way.

Craig has put together a video to talk about it. Please watch it.

For more information, visit this webpage or email Lance Young with questions.

If you are interested in submitting a teaching video for others to use, watch this short instructional video message from Craig.

We’ll be providing extensive details on this next week, but I wanted to give you guys the heads up.

We have a long and growing list of churches and teachers that have already committed to take part in this series which we’ll share soon. We’ll also let you know how you can involve your church.

Much more soon!

This is a really, really big deal! Thanks for your kingdom mindedness……

I am looking forward to seeing what God is going to do through “One Prayer,” as His Church unites!

  2. Mar 31, 2008 at 6:28 am

I cannot wait for this! I get goose bumps thinking about what could happen when we unite under ONE name…

Thank you for always putting Jesus ahead of Lifechurch.tv!

WOW! This is off the hook. This will have an amazing impact!

    Very cool.

  5. Mar 31, 2008 at 7:02 am

    Hi Bobby/Craig

I am not sure that we will participate (as we are in Australia and not all American speakers relate well to Aussies).

But can I just say this is awesome. Thank you so much for modelling generosity and a kingdom mindset better than any other church I have heard of.

Your blog and leadership have such a tremendous impact on all of us.

  6. Mar 31, 2008 at 7:07 am

I’m really excited about the heart that an idea like this embodies. I can’t wait to see how many churches and leaders get involved!

    I’m in.

  9. Mar 31, 2008 at 8:05 am

That is an unbelievably great idea! Love it.

I/we would love to participate, but that timing won’t work for us. I wonder if there is a way to do the series (same premise) later in the summer or if the messages will tie in to the date, etc.

Otherwise… keep us posted if you every do something like this again… we’d be in!

    Thanks Bobby

Actually, as some of us were praying about it this morning, we’ve decided to re-work our Preaching Calendar to make it possible to be a part of this in June.

Sometimes you simply hear the right idea and you need to get on board… this was one of those times. Thanks for your leadership and vision!

So count us at St. Paul’s Collegiate Church (Storrs, CT) in!

This is INCREDIBLE. I am stoked when I see the body of Christ uniting like this. You LifeChurch guys model the Kingdom mindset so well.

I’ve done a little of this before, where I worked with other pastors to create a teaching series for all our churches and share resources, doing the series simultaneously but you have taken it a step further by having the pastors share their vid teachings with your congregations. I love it!

We at LifeChurch.tv are so excited about what God will do with this idea. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard from church goers and many of my friends that are not follows of Christ say “If you church people could just get together on something. Then maybe you can make a difference”. This is our time. What could God do?
I’ll be working with Craig on the video production of his message. We have a team of graphic artist working on art. Our team is so jazzed about this idea. We promise a professional product. We look forward in working with other churches across the world. But most of all answer the question… What if?
I pray that you will join us.

one prayer. great premise. and the thing that’s so cool is that not only do we get to pray that one prayer, we get to know that God will answer, and unlike genie wishes, we don’t run out of prayers we get to pray.

I am touched each week by the messages God provides - it’s like HE’s speaking directly to me every Sunday. I cannot wait for this message series - what an AMAZING concept! Getting together with other believers will open a whole world of possibilities. I hope members are allowed to view the messages from other churches as well. Criag and Bobby
Thanks for the inspiration and just wanted to share how this has inspired our family.

My girls and I have been talking about ONE prayer and how churches all over the world are going to unite and pray and fast together. (Which I just know is only the beginning) So I posed the question to them, what can we do here in our own community to be ONE with other followers of Christ and make a difference in our community? This from an 9yr old: what if we (being you mom)(LOL) contacted different churches, life groups, small groups, flock groups, women’s groups and we partnered with them to reach out to the poor in our community. (At this point she has my total attention) She said it doesn’t matter who did it with us, and we could offer to get it there so that busy people wouldn’t have to mess with it. I love how she thinks!!!! There is a Presbyterian night shelter in downtown Ft. Worth Texas that a friend told us about. Hence the movement begins. They came up with a name: ONEreason. (All kids must name what they are doing it gives them a sense of ownership) ONEreason because there is ONEreason we all do what we do: Jesus. Think about it: we (being all of us) can accomplish and make a bigger impact together than we can divided. In fact it was quoted to me that together we can conquer and make a big difference and divided we fall. (Not sure who said it because it came paraphrased from a 7 yr old but it rang a bell. Thanks for the outside of the church walls thinking, God can not be contained. The girls said tell anna’s dad thanks for the ideal!!!

Wow! Fantastic stuff. Thank you for such vision for the kingdom. We are in!

  102. Apr 8, 2008 at 1:42 am

Wow! This is such a wonderful call for unity where so many ministries will have an opportunity to partner on a kingdom level to affect the world as one body. I am so moved by this that as a new church plant with a vision to also unify the body of Christ as revealed in Ephesians 4, that we are moving up our preview services schedule to participate. Revolution Church Sacramento is a very small gathering with a big vision. We have been granted use of a large facility with a huge screen to share this vision with our community. We will have services in the afternoon and invite pastors throughout the city to gather and discuss the one prayer theme on a local level so that we can model this theme in our community and come together to prayerfully support the global community. Praise God for all he is doing through Craig & Bobby and the rest of the world that will commit to being unified for Christ! I can’t express in words my excitement about how this is going to glorify the Lord!
