I have a lot of passion about networks churches. I had the opportunity to attend Anew Church in Ada, Ok. I left excited about the rawness and the potential. The thought of being a part of changing lifes in a contemporary way thru the church is motivating. I don't condider myself a leader outside the church arena. Maybe because I'm not passionate about anything else. I have had thoughts of going into the ministry but I don't know if I have what it takes (personality, influence). Any suggestions?

Neeraj,

I'd love to discuss those things. I believe we have discussed things like community several times on swerve, but it would be good to get some perspectives on social justice issues too. I'll see if I can get a post together soon on the topic.

bobby,
hey i was just wondering there was ever a way to discuss what people do at their church NOT on sunday morning. I mean things like addressing issues of justice and poverty, service, how people engage people in bible studies, deeper spiritual growth, maybe even community? i don't know.. i mean i like the stuff i read, but as someone who works at a community development corporation started by our church, i'm always interested in what others are doing and learning innovative ideas for building the church from that perspective..

thanks.

Joaquin,

I see Jack beat me to the punch in answering your question. Let me add this: LifeChurch.tv has been affected more than people know by the successes of network churches. So it IS a two way street even though it may not be obvious.

Let me also add that our church, InfinityChurch.tv, would not be possible without the LC Network.

In response to Joaquin's question. Many in the Network share ideas and resources with each other on a regular basis. For instance Barry Worcester of H2OChurch.tv has been very helpful in getting us at Life Center pointed in the right direction. Barry even has a Network blog on his website where many Network leaders share ideas and suggestions. We've shared many ideas with Brian at LifeChurch.tv and they have changed things at times based on suggestions from the Network leaders. The Network churches are free to conduct ministry in any way they see fit, but are partnering with LifeChurch.tv to utilize the LifeChurch.tv teaching in a service or experience. There is a lot of give and take and resource sharing and that's what makes the Network truly a network. This is a work in progress also and it's an ever evolving thing that allows the freedom of all involved to follow God in their respective context to see lives changed. It's by no means a one way thing. No one is more open to ideas that will lead people to become fully devoted followers of Christ than LifeChurch and they continually seek our input on what might work better. That's what makes LifeChurch and Brian Ahern in particular such a blessing to work with. It's about the Kingdom, not any one person or organization. May God be honored in all that we do.

Just wondering: why is the network only one way (life church outward)? It seems like for this to work optimally, the network would house the best ideas/resources of all these churches, not just one.

I just want to echo a huge thank you to all at Life Church.tv who make the network happen. As Jack Pease stated earlier, we are experiencing a time of explosion at Life Center in Ponca City! We know that it would not be possible to be this relevant and this impactful without the partnership with Life Church...may our God continue to use you in new and exciting ways to seek and to save that which was lost!!

I enjoy seeing the list of Network churches....even though we have only been attending Lifechurch (Tulsa campus) for about a year....when I see the potential with OPEN and the Network churches I can't help but get fired up and excited about the kingdom mindedness of LC....the potential kingdom impact is tremendous....not that it isn't important elsewhere because it definitely is, most every ministry or place that we as belivers give transforms lives....bottom line, love seeing lives changed (including mine weekly) and thrilled to be a part of what Lifechurch is doing....when I read the comments from Network church pastors or staff and check out their websites I am blessed....it is an honor to be a part of....

Bobby:
Our relationship with LifeChurch.tv has been awesome from the beginning. Two years ago this month H2Ochurch.tv began sharing the graciously given resources for us to use. The resources have changed our community and are still making an impact on other churches in communities in which we serve. We are so grateful. It is amazing how other churches begin modeling the things we do in their desire to become more relevant. The ministry of LifeChurch.tv is changing our world – dramatically. It is an honor to partner with you. One member of our staff reminded us that “imitation is the greatest form of flattery.” With so much imitation of the LifeChurch.tv model, you must be blushing! Blessings--Barry

Hey Bobby,

Great post! At Connecting Points Community Church, we are so thankful for the amazing resources that we have available from LifeChurch.tv! As a small church plant in a very unreached metro area in Michigan, we simply could not have the services that we have each week without the amazing support of LifeChurch.tv and the great relationship we have with Brian and the team there. Thank you so much for providing the resources to us that help us be a relevant church and focus on the relationships in our church each and every week! We have also seen God do amazing things through our services. In a church of only 20 people weekly (still in pre-launch strategy), we have seen 6 people come to Christ in the past month during our services! Thanks again for everything that you do to help reach people far from God in Saginaw, MI. Whoever finds God...Finds Life!

Bobby,

Don and I attended the networking weekend you had last April, and have been through alot the past year. It will be one year that I've been pastor at New Jerusalem in April. We showed three prerecorded message series during our Sunday morning service. Networking poses its challenges. You have half that love it, and half that think it should be done some other time. After much prayer and consideration, I felt led to start a Live Saturday night experience and did so about a month ago. Ever since, the Lord has released His blessing on our fellowship. We will be having our first baptism at this church this Sunday, with 9 people getting baptized. There is a blessing on LifeChurch's network. We are just at the beginning. Keep it coming Pastor Craig!!

I echo the comments above me. I really love being partnered with LifeChurch.tv in the network. Plus, I really can't talk enough about how great Brian and his team are. They do so much to help our ministry out. (Brian didn't pay me for this promotion either... I promise!)

By the way, congrats Johnny on the growth. That's awesome, buddy.

I’m not sure TheBOD.tv would even exist were it not for LifeChurch.tv and the Network. I know it wouldn’t be seeing the incredible impact in the number of lives changed that we have already experienced. Salvations, addictions gone, marriages healed and strengthened, children being clothed and fed, hope restored in lives, lives far from God and the church finding God and finding life. Thank you LifeChurch.tv.

To those considering the Network, let me encourage you. God has created an incredible wave and you should jump on board. Our church is 6 months old in a fairly low population area and last week we had 271 people in attendance. We are NOT a church split. We started from scratch. Most of our guys had given up on church long ago. It’s fresh, it’s messy, and it’s an incredible ride.

On a personal note…. Craig is the real deal. As a Network pastor I needed to know that. I’ve spoken with him face to face once but it was obvious from our conversation that what you see is what you get. It’s also confirmed when you interact with the support team of LifeChurch. Brian Ahern is on the ball and sharp. We’re learning as we go but he’s working his tail off to make this thing happen. Brandon D. I love you man. Craig, Sam, Jerry, Kevin, and Bobby…. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of something that I believe will have global impact and touch hundreds of thousands of lives.

PS We can’t wait to see the spotlight this weekend.

Words can NOT express how GREAT an impact the LifeChurch.tv resources and relationship have meant to us! Our ministry, "The Well" is a LifeChurch.tv Network Church. The support we receive from Brian (who rocks!) along with the SWEET video teaching messages allows my wife and me to focus on leadersip, discipleship and outreach... areas that often get backburnered when there is not much time left after message prep and ministry management.

Thank you for ALL that you at LifeChurch.tv are doing to lead people to becoming fully devoted followers of Christ!

Much love!
