How to Subscribe to this Blog
One way you can enjoy Swerve is by subscribing if you haven’t already. Basically, by subscribing, you’re getting alerted every time there’s a new post up on Swerve instead of having to manually visit the website to see if we’ve posted something new.
There are two ways you can subscribe to Swerve:
1) Use a Reader. Most blogs use RSS (Real Simple Syndication) “feeds” which can be aggregated and displayed by what’s known as an RSS or Feed Reader. Some examples of free readers are Bloglines, Google Reader, or most of the newer web browsers (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari) have readers built in. If this is something you’d like to explore, you can visit our main swerve feed at http://feeds.lifechurch.tv/lcswerve. We have also made a separate feed available for the comments on swerve. If you’d like to subscribe and receive updates every time a new comment is made on swerve, you can go to http://feeds.lifechurch.tv/lcswervecomments.
2) Email Subscription. If you’d rather have new Swerve posts delivered to your inbox as an email, you can easily subscribe here or by entering your email address on the “Subscribe via Email” form on the right side of this page. You will get a confirmation email and then each day you will receive one email with the latest posts.
3) Twitter. For those of you who use twitter…we just started a twitter called “swerve” that you can follow at http://www.twitter.com/swerve. If you don’t use twitter, you can read more about it here or in my previous post.
By using a reader or subscribing to your favorite blogs by email or twitter, you can save a ton of time…which can free up more of your time to interact with others or explore and learn from other blogs.
Do you subscribe to Swerve or do you manually visit the site? If you are a subscriber, do you have a favorite reader or do you prefer the email subscription?

Subscriber with google reader.
I’m a subscriber.
I use Thunderbird as my reader, because I use it for as my mail app, it’s convenient and always open anyway.
I switched to Thunderbird from Google Reader, after Google Reader was sometimes 10-20 hours late reporting updated posts.
I use Google Reader and NewsFire (an RSS application for Macintosh). The sites and blogs I want to comment on are in Newsfire and the feeds that I want to only check once a week, but probably share are in Google Reader.
Fun!
I’m a Google Reader girl. (That’s after my husband showed me there was an easier way than checking every single blog I read every time I was on the computer!!)
Google Reader; sometimes manually sometimes through reader!
I really love your blog! I’m a subscriber using bloglines. I’m just learning about Twitter and am thinking of getting an account there too.
I am a subscriber and I use google reader. It has definitely been a time saver and, like you pointed out has allowed me to keep track of a lot more conversations going on in the blogging world and interact more as well.
Google Reader, comes with email and don’t have to remember additional passwords. I used to do it manually until I found out I could use a reader, and reader definitely saves more time.
I use Google Reader, and I go to the real page when I want to comment or read up on them.
I use Twitter too, except I’d never want it to alert me of a new blog.. that’d get too annoying
Looks like Google’s in the lead.
I also use google reader but honestly haven’t tried any other feed aggregators.

[...] swerve. Steal this content!(grin) swerve is a blog name, not a person. It’s actually written by two people, Craig Groeschel and Bobby Bobby Gruenewald. My blogs are all their fault! I started out a poor blog commenter, minding their own business(grin), when the next thing you know, I’m a blogger! I have to do a heroes review on them. I end up blogging about swerve a lot. [...]
I’m a subscriber using the Firefox feed reader. It works pretty well most of the time. I’ll have to see what people think is the most reliable.
This is kind of funny because I was just getting ready to post an RSS tutorial for my blog to teach people how to subscribe. I feel like I can’t live without it now.
I originally subscribed by email and can gratefully say you guys introduced me to blogging!
But I love Google Reader!
subscribe through google reader… one of like, 100 feeds i subscribe too
Bloglines here. it’s best for mobile reading.
I used bloglines and liked it but now i use the rss feed option in mac mail. it’s practical for me…
I subscribe with NewsGator. It is a great reader and they just made their suite of products free!
I forgot to mention I also subscribe to it within Facebook via the Blog Friends app. Pretty cool!
