LifeChurch.tv Worship Podcasts
Worshiping God through music and song is a significant part of our weekend experiences (both physical and virtual). Recently, we worked out the licensing details and started several new podcasts that feature recordings of our weekend worship sets (music).
I wanted to introduce all of you to the various worship podcasts that we have launched in the last month or two. Right now all of them are audio only, but we will likely launch one or two with video podcasts and additional audio podcasts in the near future. As always, I’d appreciate your feedback if you have a moment to subscribe and listen.

I think this is an awesome venture. I subscribed to the audio casts, and while it would be good if the songs were individually recorded, the way they are right now (all the songs of one experience as one file) might work best for this.
I am looking forward to the video podcasts - will other ministries have permission to use the videos in their services/experiences? (like the open video content)? That would be awesome as well - then ministries with limited people/volunteers will have everything they need to run a service in a sense.
God Bless ‘_^
How do we go about getting this type of license?
Thanks Bobby,
I just downloaded some to my mp3 player. That is cool.
I discovered these a couple of weeks ago and have been really diggin’ them! Thanks so much for this. I especially enjoyed the worshipful rap that was in one of the sets. Great, innovative, and tasteful way to incorporate another style into the worship set!
AWESOME! Where’s my Trent Austin (Edmond Campus)? I attend OKC, but I gotta have my Trent fix! WOO HOO!
Have been listening to JT on itunes for some time now….attend SOKC so our band is the BOMB! Love that you all were able to do this. I love coming in on Mon/Tues and reliving worship all over again…..Thank you!!!
Does anyone know what kind of freedom will we have to use them publically?
I’ve been listening to first the south OKC, and now all three for a few months now. I really enjoy them. Now I’m looking forward to the video podcast!
I play in the band at GracePoint in Wichita, and it’s interesting to hear all of the different talks on many of the songs that we also play.
Keep up the great work.
Wow…lots of interest and q’s.
Suraj, the songs are a “set” intentionally to adhere to the licenses that we have. I wish we could make individual songs available, but that is not the case in our context.
Suraj and BrandonP, I’m not really qualified to give legal advice. What we have worked out with our licenses is typically intended for personal use. We certainly don’t want to restrict them from being used in a church service context. I think if you look at the language of the religious services exemption of the US copyright law, you might determine that playing the podcasts in a church service is appropriate. Our video podcasts will likely not include the lyrics, though. That would require another level of complication that we’re probably not going to be able to solve.
Brian, We are fortunate that we have a full-time staff person who handles all of our licensing and contracts, etc. We have specifically gone to all of the music PROs as well as CCLI and some of the publishers to work out what amounts to a combination of licenses to make this possible. So it is a bit complicated and customized to our situation, including our Internet Campus, among other things. However, just after our team finished working this out…I saw that the Church Copyright Administration (http://www.churchca.com/) began to offer a service to do what appears to be something similar. We don’t have a connection to CCA, but you might take a look at what they offer.
Everyone, Thanks for the questions and feedback…hopefully my attempts at answering them helped.
I’ve been downloading the podcasts from SOK and Tulsa for a few weeks now and LOVE IT! My question is: is there any post production or is that a live feed recorded?
I”ve got all three on my IPOD right now, love it, and can’t wait for the video ones to come. Great job making this available. YOu need to make HNV’s available too.
I love the podcast and have all of them downloaded…great listens….I am in Tulsa, I enjoy the two OKC worship podcasts plus I believe the Stillwater worship podcast was on itunes this week as well….Thanks for blessing me!
Bobby,
LOL. I took one look at the post and thought, “Now how on earth do they do that without having a full time staff person simply to handle all the legal issues?” But I guess that’s exactly what you have.
Very cool podcasts I’m enjoying them.
[...] I think this is LifeChurch.tv - not really sure which campus. I subscribe to the South Oklahoma City worship podcast, cuz I love to hear what they are doing and I love the worship leaders energy. Anywho, someone [...]
