YouVersion Alpha Release
Six weeks ago, we announced a new online Bible project called YouVersion. Our team has been hard at work since the announcement on getting an “Alpha” test release completed. We just announced on the YouVersion blog that we have released the Alpha test to a limited number of participants. You can read the details here and see screen shots at http://www.youversion.com/
This test is bit of a “proof of concept” and does not include all of the features we will incorporate into our public beta version when we release it this fall. I know that there are several hundred of you who have expressed interest in testing YouVersion who we were not able to include in this first group of participants. However, we will be expanding the Alpha test as fast as we can so that many more of you can participate.
Though we still have a LONG way to go, I want to publicly express how proud I am of Terry Storch and our Digerati Team. They have worked very hard on getting this release completed in only six weeks!….AND they did so while juggling and completing several other significant projects. Those of you who have worked on large software or web projects can certainly appreciate the challenge involved.
I also greatly appreciate all of you who have been so willing and eager to help make this project successful. Ultimately, what will make YouVersion great is the participation and contributions of the community (You!). I look forward to seeing how God uses it to connect more people to His Word.

This is really going to revolutionize my quite times and walk with God. I know this sounds funny…but I am super “technological” and I try to do everything on my laptop, and if it isn’t… well it just gets lost. And I know you know how hard it is to read, take notes and experience Christ with nothing that helps sync it together like YOUVERSION.COM THANK YOU!This is the missing link in my walk with God, in my study, and in my attempts to make everything in my life “wireless”.
I am so excited about his web site. I have been directing all my friends to the site lately just to show them what you are doing. I didn’t get included on the “alpha”, but if you could include me on the later attempts I would be ever so grateful. I am on the email list.

Bobby, thanks for making my husband take the weekend off now that the alpha is out…..=) He’ll be ready to take on some Beta when he gets back. Actually, I’m sure he’ll be on the phone working on it by Sunday morning.
