New LifeChurch.tv campus in NW Oklahoma City, OK
Today we opened our 11th campus (it was actually announced as our 8th last spring, but a few campuses slipped in before it was completed) in NW Oklahoma City.
We are very excited about leading people to become fully devoted followers of Christ in this part of Oklahoma City. Our central team did a great job on all of the facility/tech/ministry details leading up to today and the campus team did a tremendous job of organizing and rallying a huge core team of volunteers to make the launch run very smoothly.
1630 people attended the three worship experiences this morning, but most importantly 22 people made a decision to become a follower of Christ today! (305 at all campuses combined)! That statistic alone makes the hard work and effort of our volunteers/givers/staff worth it. God is already doing big things!
The campus staff at NW Oklahoma City and our volunteers are already mobilized in a huge way in surrounding community. They have visited every school in the district and invested significant time in serving the community before the doors to the new location even opened. It will be exciting to see how God uses this campus in the coming months.
Here are some pics from this morning:

Wow. That’s awesome. Nice touch with the logo on the chairs.
Thanks to all who prayed.
Thanks to all of you from every campus who gave.
Thanks to all who left your campus to start this one.
Thanks to all you who are serving.
Thanks to Victory Church and NewChurch and others for being so supportive.
Thanks to Central staff who busted your tails to make this happen.
Thanks to NOC staff for your faith and hard work.
Thanks to our blogging friends for your encouragement.
Thanks most of all to Jesus who saves!
In one word, “awesome.” It’s awesome to see one really huge vacant and empty room be turned into something so great.
Can’t wait for Easter weekend…

We (me and my fraternity brothers) went last weekend on the preview weekend, it was great! The new campus is just down the street from my house, and close to my school home OCU, which is very cool. A few of us made the dedication to give extra to campus development today which I think is very cool considering we’re all poor college students. That’s the power of God, to get college students to give their to the church rather than spending it on designer jeans and iPods!
Bobby…any estimate on how many of the head count were tithes from other campuses and how many were new attendees?
Michael,
Not yet. We will be working to analyze that soon.
With 22 commitments to Christ there must have been some new folks. I believe there were about 1200 at the core group only preview the week before.
Tom..the week before preview was just over 1000, but I don’t know that everyone there was actually part of the core team. I saw some people that were new and also several staff people.
Either way…it was a great launch.
